Hi I am looking for a petrol EClass estate, but all I seem to find for sale in my area are diesel. Are any of the other Mercedes with the same boot length with seats down? I had found a website that showed all the MB specs, but can't find it now.

I don’t think there‘s anything as big as an E-class estate with the seats down

Dreaming of a CL55k - one day maybe....
Soda Superb is similar - but no, E class in a boot length of its own!

The older Mondeos were quite large too.

As above - R Class.
E Class estate is 1.8m long seats down. R Class 7 seater LWB is 2.2 metres.
It's cavernous. Seriously cavernous.

We had an E Class estate we used to go to our second home. We upgraded to an R Class last year. The latest trip MrsLK took more than her usual amount and it all fitted with ease. Makes a change from having to repack 5 or 6 times just to get it all in.

For example. This latest trip we took a water softener to fit to the house (2ft X 1ft X 18"), Ooni 16" pizza oven in its packaging, 3 suitcases, electric strimmer, 3 laptops, electric coolbox, 5 pairs of shoes (in boxes), large toolbox (2ft X 1ft X 1ft), 3 large boxes of dog food and various odds and ends.
We didn't even put the second row seats down as the dogs were there.

To get a petrol one you'll be looking at pre facelift (pre 2010) R350, R500 or if you spend long enough looking the very rare R63.

There were no R63s sold into the U.K. from what I can find. There is however a facelift R500 with the 5.5 V8, for sale right now…

Really? Huh. I checked on the MB sales database. I wonder if they were grey market imports?
