Do Mercedes check the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) when they service a Mercedes 2009 car?

Hi I’m new to this, or any other forum so am not sure if anyone can help me.
I keep getting emails from lawyers about claiming on the ‘Mercedes Diesel Fraud’. I don’t know if these are cons or not. Is there anyone out there who have claimed compensation from Mercedes Benz for their 2009 + Mercedes vehicle? Also, I’m trying to find out if Do Mercedes check the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) when they service a Mercedes 2009 car?

They check for stored codes on a service, if there is an issue with the DPF a fault will be logged - although what do you mean by "check"? that it is physically there?

Re the claims - why do you think lawyers are calling? Because they're all wonderful human beings keen to help their fellow man/woman? Or desperate for a payday and they don't mind who pays as long as they get paid. They might be no win no fee, it doesn't mean you don't end up paying though.

They should check to see the fill level % and when it did a last regen-The mileage will be recorded.

As regards claiming it appears that my dog transport, a 2012 S204 220Cdi, is awaiting a recall on two items.
Note that the emissions recall is voluntary

I’d be very wary when you take the car in for the airbag issue that the emissions update isn’t done at the same time. If my 2012 E class estate goes in I want a signed confirmation that the emissions software update isn’t performed otherwise it will be done especially as the dealer will receive payment for both jobs

I will also be keeping an eye on that. They seem to have a very blase faire attitude to the airbag issue as the defect can cause serious injury
