OK thanks. My Peugeot 406 has 195/65/15's and rides better than the C220, the 16" are also quite noisy but that's probably the type of tyre.

Peter

You could change the tyres for Goodyear Efficient Grip or Dunlop BlueResponse, they are designed for comfort and are very quiet.

205/55 R16 all round or with a 225/50 R16 rear

I had looked at those but wondered if they would be as good a 65/15's. 195/65/15's are listed in the handbook as an alternative perhaps for older models?

Entirely up to you, a 195/65 R15 has a very large side wall so will give a softer ride BUT it will wallow considerably more than a 205/55 R16.

Both sizes will fit the car no problem at all, just make sure the 195 is on a 7x15" ET35 wheel.

The only other consideration is the 195 may look a little lost in the arches

Yip as above, with 65s it will feel like it’s going to fall over if you drive in an even mildly spirited way..

I would put an 8x16" wheel all round fitted with 225/50 R16 tyres

Thanks for all your comments, I think I will probably go down the new tyre route. I must admit the car does handle very well but after about 30 years of driving hydropnumatic Citroens - it feels hard. I'm old and don't drive very fast, rarely above 60 mph or 2000 rpm but I do get a very good fuel consumption.

If you do go for new tyres, as has already been suggested, take a good look at Goodyear Efficientgrip. My wife had them on her old Focus and they were extremely grippy comfortable tyres.

Thanks. I did look up some tyres for my 406 a little while ago and found Goodyear and the spec looked good. Continental also came up as good.

Does anyone know if the 17” steel wheels from a GLA would fit a s204? I want to fit winters on a set instead of ruining my alloys on these lovely smooth roads we seem to have

You will have to see if they clear the front brakes

GLA 17" steel wheels are only 6.5" wide with an ET38.
S204 17" front wheels are 7.5" wide with an ET47

You may be lucky and they will clear the caliper but a test fit will confirm.

Hi I’m new here.
I’ve got a 2016 C205.

I’ve been given a set of alloys which are 20”x8.5 ET35 front
And 20”x10 ET38 rear
Was just wondering if they will fit my car okay and if so what tyres they will need?

Brabus fit

front: 8.5x20" 225/35R20 90Y XL
rear: 9.5x20" 255/30R20 92Y XL

ET will need to be around 44 on the front and 50 on the rear

I would test fit them first

www.wheel-size.com
I've found this site to be very informative and helpful when trying to work out alternative tyre/wheel sizes and their possible fitment.
You can set it up so that your standard set and size are given as the norm and then when you input different sizes of alloys or steel wheels, it shows all the differences and how it will differ from the base set.
The only thing you need to be careful of is that there is so many options in set up available that the inexperienced could easily end up bamboozling themselves and getting things wildly wrong.
Once you understand what you're doing and how to set it up it's brilliant though. Loads of good detailed info to help you decide on what route you need/want to go.

If someone can tell me how to make, and save a screen shot, I can post a sample and you can see just how much info is available on this site.

My son was kind enough to show me how to do the screen shot and save it.
So, now you can see how much info is available.
I used the standard size for the rears on my Coupe and changed to my winter set up (narrower, with a slightly larger profile) to let you see just how much information is available for you to find out.
