We are in the process of converting a box van 2000 w reg Atego 815 into a beavertail transporter but have come across a couple of problems

1-The dash has recently died completely,no clocks lcd display or anything else?? is this a common problem/easy fix?

2-the cab only has a rear spring on the drivers side? is this normal?

Paul;)

Hi Paul, the atego's only have one spring on the o/s there is a guide on the n/s to align it when lowering, although they are prone to breaking the cab torsion bar's that assist with the raising of it!!!! regarding the dash display if you have the rev counter built into the INS display they suffer with the wiring chaffing under the revcounter so clocks out and have a look behind if you have the casette type rectangle rev counter it may well be a faulty INS these are programed by STAR so substitution with a second hand unit will need reprogramming by a friendly Mercman!!!!!!! for commercial spares try http://www.erithcommercials.co.uk/ they only break Merc Trucks best of luck simon....:D:D
