does the air bag suspension need calibrating

got a e220d estate , malfunction warning picture come on on dash ,its under private policy warranty ,took it in on tuesday ,replaced air bag ,suspension ,phoned to pick it up today ,indi said ,cannot level it out ,,he needs to get it calibrated ,,would this be correct ? had dealings with inde before ,with other cars ,no probs before

Yes, but it should be doable with xentry diagnostics...

Yes, there is also meant to be a tool called an inclinometer that’s used to get it sitting correctly, expensive bit of kit that MB do have and lend out to indys

We have one. Its just a posh name something that gives a degree reading

Ah wonder if the one our Indy had to borrow was because I wanted them to align the distronic too,

There's a different tool for the distronic stuff, its an inclinometer with a suction cup that goes on the radar.

thanks for your replies ,turns out it faulty ,got another new one being fitted today
