DOOR HANDLE FITMENTS???

Hey all,
Merry Christmas first off!

So I have my first post to do on here if anyone can advise?

I had my door handles painted by a really good firm, but they've had to re-do them once already as for some reason and he's done hundred of these before, mine have reacted badly with the paint, gone flat and what almost looks like acne in the paint. Its very odd!

Anyway I have been trying to find some aftermarket gloss black ones but because the car is so new I can't find them yet.

So my question is. I drive a new CLA 45s.
Firstly does anyone know of any aftermarket gloss black handles for this model yet??

Then secondly, does anyone know if some of the gloss black aftermarket handles that are readily available for other models will fit my car?? I'm just wondering if they use the same sizing handle for several models. Surely that would make sense for their brand?

Sorry Dan, I don’t know the answer but I would start with the A Class (hatch and saloon) as the CLA shares a lot of common parts with them. Is it possible to wrap the handle bits you want black?

Hey bud.

We thought about wrapping but I've been advised that because you can't wrap vinyl around an edge of the door handle section there would be some shrinkage of the vinyl from the cold and overtime you would see the chrome start to show on the edges.

I am not 100% sold on this theory though. Not sure if anyone here has wrapped their handles or not successfully?

But I'm going to get another opinion I think from a specialist vinyl guy.

I have wrapped my cla 45’s door handles aswell as the rear decklid star emblem, and I can confirm that it does indeed shrink and you will start seeing chrome.
