Hi,
When you say the pump was repaired, what was wrong with it?
Was it removed from the car? as these pumps need to be coded at installation by MB and it may have lost this coding by prolonged disconnection from the car or part replacement involved in the repair, have you got rear headrests? do these still work? Your boot release is vacum operated as well so should be related to your locking problem

sounds like you have a pipe off somewhere?
mate of ours locked his keys in the boot, AA cut pipe and actuated lock to boot then repaired with piece of brake pipe bridging the two plastic pieces together,
works perfect

did also read that if you remove number plate light and bridge the wires this will also work your locks......if electric!!!!

hi
the pump had burn out and i took it to be rewired because i could not find a used one which the new one cost over $1200.00 which i thought was absurd.
i had it out for about 2 weeks. the back head rests aren't working either. the
lock button on the dash either. i am willing to try anything.
thank you for you interest

If you have,nt got a pipe off as previous post suggests then I think due to the rebuild of the pump and the prolonged disconnection from the car it will need recoding by MB. The E.P.C. states "coding required to chassis number with hand held tester"

This could be to do with the Comfort Control Unit or the Vacuum Pump, have a read of this thread, as it describes where these things are located. You might have a loose vacuum pipe on the pump or dampness in the Comfort Control Unit.

If you are left hand drive, things may be located differently in your car.

sounds like who ever has repaired the pump has done something to the vaccum side of it try taking the pipes off the top of the central locking pump and activate the central locking to see if it generates vaccum or pressure depending on which way it is locking

Also, have you checked all fuses, I know your windows are working as the should but just to be sure in case this is something simple. Fuse box, with label, inside its cover located in boot behind battery and under bonnet near brake fluid tank.
