Doors not opening

Hi ,
May you kindly help me with advice. My car key is not unlocking the car even though the key light is flashing. In the event of trying to open the car the alarm went off. The door is making sounds when the key is turned but not opening. The blade key is not even working. I went to get the new key batteries but still doors are not opening. How best can we solve this issue. IT’s daughter’s 13 th bday and we need to do some shopping.

Hello, welcome and Happy Birthday to your daughter,

Firstly try the second key if you have it… if not lubricate the lock and try the mechanical key until the door unlocks (it’s a 90'0° turn and it’s only the last bit that does the unlocking).
The alarm will go off when you use the mechanical key - putting the key into the ignition and turning it to position 1 will silence the alarm though.

As above, the key will open the door lock eventually but if not used for a while it will take some effort. PB Blaster or at a push WD40 will help. Push the tube right into the lock before spraying. Hope you manage it!
