doors wont lock

please help, i just bought my Aclass yesterday evening after passing my test on tuesday, and already I've discovered both rear doors won lock. the buttons stay down but wont lock... im so panickrd and dont know what to do, please help a girl out:cry::cry:

If a 169 the door locks are electric and they could have been disconnected to hide a fault with the locking motors, does it lock if you push the buttons down

no they didnt lock when pushed down, my brother in law took a look and he said yes they had been disconnected, the rear left door wont lock at all, but the right one seems to lock randomly when it wants. is this goin to be expensive. im so worried especially since i cant even lock it up, and have to keep it on the road...

It is a fix that you can do, you can buy the locking springs that break from Ebay, they do come with the instructions on how to fit, but I can give you the instructions to get the motors out.

There is a lever that brakes in the rear locks from memory, had the same fault on a Aclass some time back, new locks needed on that one we had..................
