Double glazing problem - has anyone ever seen this?

it looks as though damp or water has gone between the laminations, used to see it years age, but you cant have it with toughened glass.

I have this on my BMW windscreen. It is not covered by their warranty though. Maybe MB is different but I doubt it. My only option is a 50 quid excess windscreen change. Do you have glass cover on your policy?

I have glass cover, not sure it covers this.

It does when you get hit by that nasty stone thats just sitting in yer drive ..........Oh hang a mo ....."In yer drive" won't work it's private property ......It was when you were following that local council truck it happened !!!!!!!!!

They will cover broken glass. You just have to make sure its broken before you call them:rolleyes:

I have read elsewhere on this forum that some insurers will cover failed lamination. A sensible policy as they know otherwise it will just lead to deceipt/fraud.

Automatic centre punch...

If you see cars with the white in the corner of the windscreen then as likely as not there will be serious corrosion hidden behind the windscreen surround.

I was only after a 'stone chip' crack, just enough to have the window replaced...;-)
