After several days trying to update my card with no effect I have finally found a link to Version 3.0.09 of the download manager :- https://shop.mercedes-benz.com/en-gb/collection/garmin-map-pilot
I hope that this helps you. As normal MB dont make it easy for their customers.

Thank you so much for the info. I followed the link and got version 3.0.12 of the downloader but there are no updates available and I'm stuck on the map software version v6.0. Do you know how i get v10.0 like other users in this thread? Thanks in advance.

I bought the sd card from ebay "A2139069903" last week. The card label says V 8.1 /Map 8.0, and My maps from the car shows as "2015/2016 (v5.0) N. America.

2. file downloaded from the link "https://www.la.mercedes-benz.com/en/passengercars/being-an-owner/garmin-map-pilot.html", It says "storage medium not found" when sd card is connected to the computer. I notice that program title as "Mercedes Benz SD card download manager / v 1.0.10)

Is there any good link to download v 3.0.12 or the latest? I wonder why it's so difficult to get the correct tool if update is offered...

This worked for me 2016 CLA with 2015 maps
Download adobe air https://get.adobe.com/air/
Then download Mercedes download manager https://shop.mercedes-benz.com/en-gb/collection/sd-card-navigation

insert card into pc then run the download manager, user and password is dlm,
Software will find the sd card and display if update is available,

mine updated the software build but seemed to stall whilst writing to card, I rebooted the pc leaving card connected and it resumed ok, following download of software the car accepted the card and asked if I wanted to pair the card

Have you downloaded adobe air? Post before mine by a different member states you will get media not found if you do not have adobe air

Noticed you are in N America, had a look at USA merc website and had a chat with their online help service, looks like it’s not the same as in the U.K./Europe, could be a licensing issue in different territories

if you download from here https://shop.mercedes-benz.com/en-gb/collection/sd-card-navigation and run with the SD card in place it will report media not found unless you have already installed adobe air as mentioned before.
it ran OK today and upgraded SD card from v10 to v14.
My internet connection went down half way through and the process stalled.
If this happens to you, leave SD card in but close the manager and re start it, when it will ask if you want to continue with update, Click OK and hey presto within a few seconds all finished.

I realise this thread has not been active for a while. I am trying to get the Mac version of the download manager to function on my Mac. I have never used it on any platform before. I installed it without any problem. When I start it up it asks me to "Please login to the MercedesMe portal" with a blue Log in button below the message. When I click the button, I am taken to the generic MercedesMe description page: https://www.mercedes-benz.com/en/mercedes-me/. This is not the portal and there is no way to log in on this page. Opening a separate Chrome tab and logging in to the portal correctly does not satisfy the download manager, meaning it still wants me to log in and I can't go any further and can't download the maps. Ideas?

Can't really help I'm afraid, I had exactly the same problem. I ended up buying the update on SD card from MB Grangemouth - discount (10% I think) for mentioning MBO membership.

Log in to Mercedes Me normally after the program is installed and opened. The go to map updates and try to download them again. this time instead of the program downloaded, it should log you in to the program with the updates you selected.

I have now spoken to my local Mercedes dealer (Lookers in Crawley). They don't know how we can get a downloadable copy of Version 3 of the 'Download_Manager_SD_Card_Navigation.exe' updater but have said that when my car goes in for service in the next few weeks they will update the SD card for me. This is better than nothing but it seems crazy to me that Mercedes can't put the latest version of the update software on their website. I would much prefer to be able to update my card myself rather than have to wait each year for the annual service.

The well known cynic.in.me says maybe other things going on when update done by dealer,benz.?

I exactly encountered the same issue, and haven't solved it yet. I can't find the MB download manager 3.xxx version from the url pasted before (no longer available). can anyone share me the tool?

It may, or may not be relevant but my understanding is that Adobe Air is no longer supported by Adobe:-

"Adobe will provide basic security support – limited to security fixes only for desktop platforms (Windows 7 and above, and Mac OS X) – for Adobe AIR v32 until the end of 2020. After that time, Adobe support for AIR will be discontinued."

You all are doing the right thing, but Mercedes replaced the application and only the old ones are still working to update the older Garmin Map Pilot cards.
But we are lucky and can still get the link to the older version of the application thanks to the wayback-machine of archive.org ...

WARNING: Don't do this if your subscription expired, make sure you got a Backup of your SD card, otherwise the installation will end, but the acctivation of the protected maps will fail!!!

Install it, and then Open the folder...

C:\Program Files (x86)\Mercedes-Benz Download Manager
Open the "Mercedes-Benz Download Manager.exe" as an Administrator (Right mouse button "Run as Administrator"), if you don't, then the application will stop at 50% and will be unable to write to the SD Card.

Use "DLM" and pw "DLM" to login and download your Map Update... for me it works and is at the very moment updating...




(I don't know whats the marketing of MCB within the UK, I bought my car second hand back in 2018 and it seems that updates for the maps are still possible... Is the subscription realy just for a total of 3 years?)

I think the three years free is only for the Comand system. Not sure what applies for Garmin Map Pilot.
