Welcome buddy , sorry to hear of the car troubles . As Alex says above you need to see a decent MB Indy to get to the bottom of this as efficiently as possible .Engine management light coming on fault DPF blocked, regenerated twice and new sensor fitted but still comes back on after 30 miles - any advice on next steps would be greatly appreciated
Sorry to hijack the thread but how do you prevent the dpf getting blocked in the first place?
Is it driving differences/speeds?

Thank you for your response, the software was updated last week. I also had to replace the turbo boost hose as it was burst (red one), I think it is looking like I need to get the DPF removed and cleanedWithout seeing the car, difficult to say, some cars need updated software to deal with DPF being "apparently" blocked.
There is also the scenario where the dpf is actually blocked and will need to be removed and cleaned, or replaced.
Well if you trust your MB Indy and that is their recommendation ?Thank you for your response, the software was updated last week. I also had to replace the turbo boost hose as it was burst (red one), I think it is looking like I need to get the DPF removed and cleaned

Absolutely, this is the big problem with DPF's every single part of the engine has to work perfectly all the time or the thing will not regenerate properly.Anything that prevents a regen will cause it to block. Short runs not getting up to temp, bad thermostat not letting the engine get to operating temperature, boost leaks, bad sensors - it's a long list.

Thanks for your advice, he did have a star and he had done that, this new sensors seems to of cleared all problems. Time will tell.If your Indy has star, a manual regeneration can be done whilst driving that will do exactly the same thing.
