again i must defer you to sam unit, aka colin. he is familiar with a problem that can be cured as he says, if your codes support his suggestion then i am sure he has it right.

having said that, the fact you are getting underboost and back pressure do suggest a blocked cat or dpf, which can not be fixed with a sofware update and a differential sensor.

hopefully colin will get back on to help with this one, but i think he is too busy enjoying his 'new' car at the minute!! :D

guys plugged the car in tonight. the fault codes are P0471 exhaust pressure sensor and P0299 turbo super charger underboost will this still be the differential pressure sensor?

Now thats something new!

Will have to look that up!!

Right. re-read that, that sounds like the sensor after the DPF filter playing about, and they do! that would be my choice of the next move, again, without seeing the car, im only guessing!!

c220 dpf fault?

Hi, Similar problem so apols for posting in this thread. The EMS light came on about 3 weeks ago and a Merc dealer diagnostic showed 'Common Rail Diesel Injection 3 - Check values of components B19/7 (Upstream TWC/KAT temp sensor)and B19/9 (Temp sensor upstream of dpf) for plausibility. Plausibility WITH temperature sensors" (also a similar one ending "plausibility / Calculated temperature at TWC"). They reset the diagnostics OK (even though showing as Current and Stored) and it went away until a couple of days ago. There is no apparent loss of power or performance, I rang the Merc dealer and they said it may disappear again but shouldn't be a problem if I can put up with the light being on until the next service. I'm seeking a bit of reassurance that if I ignore the EMS light as suggested it'll not cause any longterm damage to the engine or CAT. Thanks

if the dpf has been removed all you need to do is disconnect the downstream pipe from the differential pressure sensor - this will fool the ecu into thinking the dpf is still fitted and OK. otherwise i suggest you contact steve at sr-performance to discuss your needs, i believe he can do this mod to the ecu programming.
