C350 CDI blue efficiency
Hi All
My first post here.
I have a 2010 C350 CDi.
Was intermittently losing power and
has recently gone into limp mode with EML on.
Have read code on OBD2 and it's:
P2454 DPF pressure sensor A low.

Anyone know where to find this on the car?
I've been told its not an expensive part and usually best to start here.

Any advice appreciated

Thanks

How do you know it's an instrument failure and not an out of parameter reading being generated and recorded by a working instrument?
Have you looked at live data, read and interpreted the working pressures being recorded?

Hi Tony
I don't but a used genuine mb pressure sensor was only £25 on eBay.
Thought it was worth a try at that price.

True. Just couldn't see any OEM parts. Lots of aftermarket ones. There was a couple of Bosch new parts but decided to go give this used one a go first.

Is there a good site to buy genuine mercedes parts from apart from dealers?

Grangemouth Mercedes, discounted prices if your a forum member.
I would only use genuine OEM especially where sensors are concerned, Ebay is a can of worms.

Bosch would of been the better option. Than a used mb sensor.

Have you considered how you would test the Pressure Differential Switch to confirm it's in good working order prior to installation?

Hi guys

Just thought I'd update you all.
Actually, was quite busy so didn't see the other messages.

Cleared the code & changed the sensor.
No I'm not really sure how to test it?
Any info much appreciated.

Took it for a cruise and it's working like a charm. Hope it stays that way!

Thank you all for your help and the tip about Grangemouth discount for members.

Hi Tony

Yes it is ☺️
I did read an article later on testing the sensor with multi-meter & pressure guage but I'm glad I didn't need to do that, as don't have a pressure gauge!
