MB 229.51 and 229.52 are the official specs , but I use VW 507.00 because it has a higher performance profile inc anti wear and DPF .

Best built oil filters I've used are Bosch and Hengst .

229.51 is the MB spec for a DPF CDI.
ECP filters will be ok, staying with a recognised brand is good, many have their favourites.

TBH most of my kit will be delivered from eBay suppliers. MB Newcastle, and other main MB dealers, are on eBay and more likely to supply MB used kit at attractive prices, oil also.

Consider a Pela pump (or the cheap electric one from Lidl seems popular) for oil extraction, not only does it save you crawling around beneath but the 651 sump is known to be made of chocolate and will break up like an Easter egg when removing the sump plug.

The differential pressure sensor is a known regular problem.
It is fed from 2 outlets on the DPF. 1 pre filter, 1 post filter.
Follow the small hoses to the sensor itself mounted approx 150 - 200mm from the heat.

As you've seen eBay search will show you what it looks like. If memory serves about £45.
In truth though the changing of sensors is better after being diagnosed 1st,and as said sometimes live monitoring will expose where static testing 'might' miss it.

If your car has a cat before the DPF Neil there will be a temp sensor in it but the one on the cat is usually the more troublesome one. As M80 said the pressure sensor is known for issues and usually main culprit if DPF stops regenerating

Mines a van OM651 and it has a cat, looked online and seems E220 has very small cat and a DPF with only 4" of pipe separating the two with temp sensor in the pipe between the two and one in the cat too if yours is the same?

I have both of them, the iCarsoft mb11 and the cro pro, The CO pro is a much better one, imo.Better range of functions across other makes, and while I have not done a regen with it yet ( touch wood) it can perform that as well.

The CR pro is probably the more future proof Neil even more if you decide to drift to other makes of cars
