hi there ,not been on for a while due to illness , fine now

going in for the of

Draining the Oil from the 722.6 Transmission

read Razzo's post great write up even i get it ?

the oil or i should say cream has me concerned in respect of any slippage occuring after service , it has been suggested it possible to happen because the old fluid is full contaminates giving the clutches grip , or is that doggy bag talk

Although the difference between oil and new oil is definitely there the biggest difference is the time taken to fill each of the various reservoirs / pistons.
You could try a gearbox reset (needs Star or Xentry at dealers) which forces the gearbox to relearn.
Otherwise more likely to be TCU?

Anyone else?

Cream??? A figure of speech? or it really is a creamy color??? Have you dipped it? The 722.6 trans can be dipped, unlike its 722.9 cousin. And the dipped fluid will tell you a lot about the condition of the fluid. Would be a good idea to have it scanned too before anything is done, just to make sure that there is no underlying problems.

Are you thinking gearbox coolant pipe leaking so the ATF is creamy?
No idea on the car. The OP hasn't said. Just a 722.6 transmission.

When you change the atf in a 722.6 box you should also change the filter.
This means removing the gearbox sump - and the bonus in doing that is not only an easy inspection of the innards, but a thorough clean, so that any remaining 'cream' can be completely removed.
