Today my drivers doors stoped working, Windows, lock, electric mirrors etc, which is extremely annoying as its a 2007 CLK so the window wont realine itself when closed so stays open! I take it I need a new Door control unit! which are £240 anyone know where I could get a decent cheap used one. Also how difficult is it to fit and whats involved? do I have to take the door panel off and is it tricky?

I have a feeling then that the fault could be a broken wire in the door hinge area, if it comes and goes forget the fuse. If it did turn out to be a fault on the ECU this will be a dry joint, and should be an easy fix, again it could be a poor plug connection but the door panel has to come off I think.

I can let you have the door liner removing instructions

urgent help

Wow this is a nightmare job. got the door kind of hanging off, but am I supposed to be doing this with the window down? the door rubber is attached to the door in the top corner and I cant see any way of getting it off. Obviously the window wont come down as the thing has stopped working! HELP

help

This job is quite honestly beyond me there are a mass of wires the window is attached in various places the main cable wont detach, cat wee anyway for the rubber round the window to detach from the car, all the wires are heavily covered wire insulation, I might have to book it in. Great! glad I bought a Mercedes!
