Hopefully just a broken wire where the wires pass through in the hinge area, that is the most common

It depends John on your confidence in checking electrical circuits, you would need a mater to start with and the door card will have to come off, I would have said that it has lost a live feed or ground wire for it all to go dead

Auto spark it is then !!
What do you think I should be paying for repair ( if it is the wiring ) dont want to take it to dealership as I have heard you need a 2nd mortgage for them to look at any fault

All it needs is someone, any auto electrician to see what wire has broken and fix the break
