Hi Ive got another new irritation and a new problem for anybody out there who may be able to help.

The drivers side heater control wont put the hot air through as quickly as the passenger side?

It will come eventually but my journeys almost over by then.
It doesnt matter if you sellect side vents/ windscreen or footwell its just not warm/hot but seems to come out eventually( 20mins later?).
This is getting me down as i thought id sorted everything thats gone wrong!

Any help or ideas much appreciated.

Thanks again

I do not think yours is an engine temp or heater problem per se, but rather one of control.

I had my heater control panel out recently to attend to illumation problems and since then my recalcitrant heater control problems seem to have improved.

Ar the heart of the system (Hey I am no expert!) is the temp control wheel which alters the output from a potentiometer which affects how much the 'duo' valves open and close. Loss of 12 Volts to the duo valve results in them failing to the 'heat' position.

I do intend to give the potentiometers a spray of pot cleaner and lubricant - but have not been able to positively identify their location - I think they are visible on the PCB on the heater control panel board - but I am not confident enough with electronic gizmos to be sure.

Perhaps some of the experts could comment on my musings.

Raining a lot down here! (S***)

Try swapping the connectors on the duo valves.  If the problem changes to the passenger side then it's the valve, if it stays on the drivers side it must be the control circuit.  My guess is that it's the temperature control pot.  Rotaote vigorously several times and then set it to full on.
