My 1994/5 E220 Cabriolet front drivers side window reglator started juddering when moving the window downward. (OK moving upward) The problem was due to one of the three self tapper type screws holding the motor onto the door had failed. The plastic cover on the motor that holds the failed screw had broken. I fixed that with a bolt (probably better than the original fixing) . The juddering is fixed but the window does not stop when it is wound fully down. It is ok winding up. I cannot see any limit switch for the fully down position. How does the regulator know when it is at the bottom.
