Drivers window W210

When I close my driver's window, it gets so far and stops. It appears not to be square as it's coming up. I have to grab it and square it up, whilst pressing the 'up' button again. Is this the regulator or just something that's loose?

sounds like a fautly regulator

Has one of the screws holding the channels come lose, it could be that

I assume it involves a degree of disassembly to check. That's why I'm pricing up a new regulator just in case.
