Dropping in to say hello

Have been looking around the forum for a couple of weeks now on and off. Thought I'd better get my coat off and say hello! All the advice is great.

I can see being an old SLK owner is a labour of love. First problem solved was intermittent ESP/ BAS light. Turned out to be dying pre CAT. O2 sensor. Replaced and light hasn't been on since.

Now have issue with roof not opening in mid sequence. Boot fully opened, but roof in love with windscreen was working great till recently.

Will get to it this weekend. So, hello from Swindon.

SLK, Roof won't go down

Just thought I'd post my findings on my roof problem, it might help someone. Sorry if this isn't the place to post this.
Decided to work on the roof this weekend, after deciding it must be something to do with the roof micro switches after all the great advice here. As I couldn't open the roof I decided to try and manually open it with the roof release. I could hardly move it and wondered if I had done something wrong, but no, it was stuck. WD 40 and a bit of muscle got me some play. Decided at this point to try the switch, worked perfectly. Dropped the roof lining and did a major lube up with copper grease on the joints and silicone spray on the ram. Worked it few times with the Allen key. All working perfectly.
Lesson to be learned, sometimes it's not as difficult as you think it will be.
