My car is a 2006 E280CDi with Command. I would like enable DVD picture when on the move (for my passengers) and I would also like to have TV (unfortunately I did not included it when I originally spec the car). Any suggestions?

Many thanks

Go to a decent car audio centre, they should be able to bypass the safety mode, and also able to upgrade you with a TV tuner(make sure its a digtal tuner as analogue is a total waste of time)

Should a passing police car spot the film playing while you're driving then you can kiss your licence goodbye. A heavy fine would add to you problem and if the car is essential to your work, loose you job.

Might as well hold a mobile phone to you ear and eat an apple at the same time. A silly and very risky thing to do so please think again.

VERY good point ..... thats why I didn't bother with the 'upgrade' in my wifes X5 to be honest. Headrest TV's is the answer for sure.

Thank you for your feedback. :)

I wanted the TV & DVD on the move for the family, but all considered, I think the options available are not viable.

My local dealer suggested that I spend £3K on an integrated system , that would allow the kids to have independent TV & DVD in the back, but no way could I justify that. That’s 10% of the cost of buying a brand new (entry level) E Class.

I think I will invest in the iPOD system but TV and DVD are off the agenda.

Thanks again for the feedback

Regards
