Sorry Corned, I did not realise I had hypertension until a random BP check with the doctor, I do not know the cause - I guess it's just the stress of everyday life!

It's amazing how conversations expand - from Mercedes-Benz to growing old, but as for the cause of hypertension, I am 66 years old and very fit, workout hard three times a week for 1.25 hours each time, aerobics and weights, and been doing it for nearly 20 years, am a vegetarian, so few fats in diet, and do everything right, but still have hypertension. The doc says there's a simple explanation, as with many health related issues - you can't help who your parents are! Which is why medication is so important I suppose.
