Dynamat install

Hey guys,

How easy is the install of some dynamat to the boot lid on my 190, and how much does the mat cost approximately for this job?

Very easy to install but you might find the extra weight of the matting will mean your bootlid wont stay open.

Cost..... not a great deal, probably about £30 -£40 depending on what type of matting you use.

I read and seen these installs on the bootlid. what sort of improvement u can HEAR, or perhaps psychological? and DB measures?

i am thinking putting that stuff on my w124 230e as well, just to check if anyone have done that and to what extend of result achieved!

Dynamat helps get rid of rattles as well as keeping the music inside the car and road noise out.

Expensive stuff but does make a difference, especially if your an audiophile. Your missus probably wont hear any difference though :wink:

a cheap alternative is flashing tape - lead lined, from b&q....
