Dynamic massage seats

I was wondering how the these two funtions operate through the seat, I have basic multi contour seats, where you can, at the press of some buttons, enhance parts of the seat, by means of air pumping into the sections of seat, but how does dynamic operate, it must be linked elsewhere to the computor, speed wise, but does it then just use the same air pump of the multi contour, but automatically, depending on driving speeds. Then the pulse massage, is there something else fitted inside the seat to make this operation occur, i am asking because if possible without destroying the seat, I would like to retro fit if it were possible, but need to understand how these two operation work, any helpful comments appreciated.

There is only the one air pipe coming from the pump, the multi contour as you know just blows up bits of the back rest, with comfort seats you can blow up the side bolster and bits of the back independently. Massage seats add that function. If you added the comfort seats inserts the whole function would work as there is only the 1 activate seats on Star, irrespective of the type.

Thanks malcom, very pleased to see your back with us, however my multi contour seats allow the seat and side bolsters to inflate, and thats why I was wodering weather the dynamic seat control system, as I understand it, seats inflate to lock you into your seat, at high speeds and hard cornering, could be retro fitted, by fitting the required MB control parts, or is it not quite that simple?

You will never get it to do that, the one that inflates the side when you corner as a retro

You could add something yourself maybe, if you had a pendulum device under the seat that swung when you cornered coupled to the switch that inflates the sides, room for thought
