I think Mercedes have been doing a very bad job of designing & selling COMAND. Dynamic route guidance on C class with the Blaupunkt system is very poor as it only does motorways not A roads. This is definately a Mercedes system problem which has been confirmed to me by ITIS. How could Mercedes have openly marketed this expensive option and left their existing and new customers lagging behind the competition. ie BMW, Volvo etc.
Even the new Becker system and all facelifted C Class customers have had to wait for this option while MB UK dragged their heals signing a TMC contract with ITIS and getting the TMC codes active on the DVD disk.
How would you feel if you had an S Class and found someone with a TOM TOM navigator or a Trafficmaster Freeway had a better chance of getting around the jams!
I have been mis-sold COMAND and expect better tratment from Mercedes. Come on MB UK spend the cash and get existing customers systems fixed!
