Hi guys,
So I've had a few niggles with my dynamic seats, suspecting air leaks. Just got hold of an iCarSoft MB II fault code reader, and (aside from 1000 various fault codes...) sure enough I had the following:
left seat:
a Pressure relief valve opens without active overpressure;
b Switch S109s2 or S109s5 does not open,

Leaking cushions:
c depth,
d lumbar top
e right lateral support
f left lateral support

and right seat:
a Switch S108s2 or S108s5 does not open

Leaking cushion:
b left lateral support

Where to begin fixing it? The air cushions or the valves? Switches? Why would the switch no be "opening"?!? A bit confused.

Are there any repair kits available somewhere - is it at all a DIY job?

Cheers
J

The big problem is that the codes that you have are not inline with the Mercedes STAR codes.

What is the car please ???

Many have fixed their own seats, in the case of bladders, they can be replaced by removing the seat upholstery.

It could be valves. Do none of the functions work on either seat.

That is true; it's an iCarsoft MB II fault code reader, I assumed the fault codes wouldn't be the same, so I didn't even bother about writing them down... I just wrote down the explanation text (shortened)

That answers my question if it IS the bladders... but they seem to work "manually", i.e. I can inflate them with the switch on each seat. Haven't noticed any particular leaks in doing that, no "hissing" or deflating.

I got a suggestion to start with the release valve, which perhaps can cause all of it to go nuts?

When the seat back rest side blow up manually, but do not work in the dynamic mode it should be just the valve that operates this function.

On many cars the function that has a fault will turn the off, to protect the pump.

I happen to have a spare valve block from a CL500 dynamic seat if you require, same age so would imagine it is the same.

Thanks Craiglxviii

I'd be interested, but I am in Sweden, so I'd be happy just to know the parts number to start with :)
