E 320 CDI upholstry

I have a 2000 320 CDI with pale grey cloth type upholstry. The seats in particular are becoming very dirty due to constant use, i cover approx 4000 miles per month.
Has anyone any sugestions re the safest and most effective way of cleaning them.
