Hi I wonder if any one has this problem I had my car serviced just resently, when it was returned, on start up the engine vibrated badly on tick over, when you accellerate it goes away but when slowing down at a junction etc the vibrating returns, if you are stationary with the driver's door open you can see the door vibrating. I have taken the car back on three occasions they engine flushed the car and replaced the oil still the same they put on the laptop computer and it said their was no fault I have spoken to other garages and had other computer dianostics but all said their was no fault although the mechanics not MB said their is a problem ie engine mount loose, misfiring etc I took the car back to the dealer they were still less than helpful,Quote from Service Manager "They don't make them like they use to". any information would be appreciated.

Regards Bill.

The engine mountings are oil filled and often break, once the is no oil there is not engine suspension and the engine sits down. Even the slightest vibration can then be felt through the seat and steering wheel and yes with the door open it too will vibrate. This is only one suggestion and im sure there will be other views.;)

How bad is the vibration?. The v6s are silky smooth so any vibration can seem severe. Would you say it's a misfire or something not being damped?. IME The V6 is very prone to plug lead problems but being twin spark, this generally doesn't show up as a misfire on the computer, leading to the 'Its fine sir' and 'theya ll do that' replies. Also, once it's over 1200rpm, the mis becomes effectively masked by the one functioning plug. If they've disturbed the leads at the service, it may be somethng to consider.

This car has the 613 engine with no EGR valve or much else, deisels are not my good point and it would appear to need setting of the injectors to the ECU.
Be careful whom you use for this,an indie will set the injetors no problem,MB just change all of them and the cost is over £1k
