Used to have a C63...
Think it's time she went to Specs Savers mate. How could she possibly compare the MB work of Art to an 80's Escort?

A complete disinterest in cars other than colour & heated seats (box ticked), is it comfortable and economical (mine's apparently neither... and has too many exhausts... and is too noisy), and is it sufficiently powerful for her to maintain her 85mph+ normal cruise (mine is apparently just "stupid").

Partly why the car has stayed with me for 3.5 years! :D

Hm... sounds familiar, lol. My Swmbo is exactly the same although to give her, her due, she did say this car looked "nice" :D:D The mistress of understatement, lol.

I'll wait until I start to feel bored with it, although my oldest lad is already biting my ear, as in, "Dad I'll buy it off of you when you get bored, you know after your usual year and a half, two years," and I've only had it a couple of hours!

Sorry I'm still learning how to post with the new picture provider now that the bucket has gone.
I thought these would do for going on with now that the alloys have been refurbed and fitted, wow, what a difference.:cool::D:D
You need a couple of hundred quids worth of personalised registration number on that just to lose the year Jimbo. :)

Silver wheels on that car are right. I hate black wheels, they must have looked awful. Good job you were able to see past them :)

The number plate is already in hand, I found a set on the DVLA website. The first two letters are the initials of my Christian and second names, the year is correct, a 59 plate, (the year of my birth), the three remaining ones are the first three initials of my surname. Ok it doesn't change anything regarding the year, however, everything about it fits me and, as you said, only a couple of hundred quid and the main point is that it looks like a personal plate so, everyone (not in the know) would just look and think "Hm... nice Merc, wonder what year it really is?"

Congratulations on an excellent choice of car, well I have to say that, as I also picked up my E350 coupe on Saturday.
