There's a 211 E63 Estate just come in at MB of Edinburgh. 59k miles on the clock, good spec but £33k. Tempted? Yes, but not at that price. Closer to £27k with a reasonable trade on my CLS and I'd probably bite their hand off.

Jeso, its been busy in its short life. Not a car I'd want to do serious miles in due to cost, but if you can afford it why not. Someone has an E63 in Helensburgh and the noise is nice, you can hear it a fair bit away.

My job changed recently - I now do twelve miles a day to work and back. My wife has a Touran which we use as a work horse which is great but it's not as comfortable as any of the Merc's I've had. I changed to the diesel CLS in the previous job when I was going to be doing 400 miles a week or more but there really isn't a need for it now...

You'll lose a lot of money on it, you bought it so recently.

It will do 4 mpg as Jeremy's GT43 and only 75 miles in total per tank of petrol. If you are careful you may get 12 mpg.

It's only money ;)

Actually, I'm more likely to lose a left t*sticle if I come home and tell the missus what I am thinking. Best resist the V8 RRRRROOOOOOOAAAAARRRR!

I got 27 on a run in my 55 and averaged 21mpg over 15k miles in it. I don't drive everywhere like it's stolen. Would expect to get around 19mpg out of a 63. I used to get 12mpg out of my Stingray but that was almost 30 years old at the time.

Not if you "upgrade" her to the CLS and ditch the "dullan". Then you have two awesome cars. I now drive 15miles to work and am glad of a diesel, as a while back I wished I gone for an E240 as they were so much cheaper and I could have settled the finance I had on one, making it purely mine.

She likes the dullan - she likes a practical car that she can load loads of sh*t into. I like your thinking though... :D
