E CLASS 220CDI Front Shocks Face Lift Model

Hi can anybody advice me if the front shocks are different for the face lift model 220cdi elegance 2000 to 2002year is the same as 1996 to 1999 model got a set of bilston from ECParts ho tell me they are the same fit but my car does not seem to be as smoothe as at used to be as you can feel the bumps on the road now

f the shocks had failed I'd expect it to be smoother rather than be able to feel more bumps. It would wallow and feel sloppy but smooth. Like a 70s US car.
I don't think I've ever heard of someone changing a shock on a Merc. I dare say they do, but its quite rare as they seem to last very well.
If you're tyres are getting old, that could be it, or else, maybe you're just used to it. I get critical of my car after a while. Then drive something else for a day or so. Suddenly mine feels nice again!
If in doubt, have an MOT station give it the once over.
