Anyone had to have there torque converter replace on their E-Class?

Mercedes are saying my gear box maybe screwed because of the torque converter needs replacing. £4k for a new gearbox!

Also I need an injector replacing but I am being told as one has gone the others may need replacing?

This is so common now, yes, your box is screwed up due to the coolant and gearbox oil mixing, injectors also are dropping like fies!!!

Not sure but I did check ages ago and it was not the make of radiator that screws up.

So not a valeo,,, it was common to change the rad and fluid and re adapt the converter to loose the humming at 1700-2500 rpm when pulling lightly, when this did not work the converter was changed
