Hello and thanks for allowing me to share my thoughts on your fine web site.
I had a Mercedes 210 320 until fairly recently and was very impressed by the power and torque but horrified at the rust. The front offside chassis leg actually collapsed completely at one point leaving me stranded. Then there was the rust on the bootlid, arches, front wings around the lights etc etc etc.
It was not quite what I had hoped for, but I can honestly say that the doors were still heavier and shut better than any of my other cars.
Now, I have read and read and read even more that the previous incarnation of the E class was in a different league when it comes to build quality and that the convertible models are even better, but wondered if there was anyone here with personal experience of the 320 or 220 Convertible.
I have looked for one other in the local rag, and in 6 months have not found any, but would be wide open to suggestions as to where to start and any pit falls to watch out for.
Thanks, Rolexroz
