I must be getting old(er). I really like the new E-Class Estate All-Terrain. It's such a shame it is only available in a diseasel variant. If they did that with the 400 engine i'd be all over it like a tramp on chips when i return to blighty! Not sure why they only offer it with a diseasel engine?? With 20" wheels and road tyres it's not exactly going to be chugging around fields and dirt tracks!

Not sure if this will show up my configuration but this is what I'd go for.

I really like it but would have Selenite Grey with Black leather OR Hyacinth Red with Black leather if I was feeling brave

I think 20 inches and raised ride height is self defeating on so many levels..! Configuration worked though. Lovely looking car.

Mine would have an RS6 badge on the tailgate as I think if it were my £60k to be spent on a wagon it would be going on this :

Still has the running and servicing costs of a £90k car though! Whilst not saying you haven't thought of that. A lot of folk these days don't, then start bleating about high servicing and parts cost!

If my first name was sheikh I would have the Olympic champ over the throwing star every day of the week. However me spending £60k on a car I would want it brand new from the factory.

Brake disks and pads are horrific prices, they make the E63 look cheap to run!!!!!

Put a nice 4.0V8 Bi turbo with 615 HP ish in it and I’m there!
Just picking up on cost to run comments earlier, I did calculate mine is costing 84p per mile all in (includes depreciation, service plan, warranty extension , brakes and pads ;)and superunleaded at £1.30 a litre)
On that basis I’d probably be cheaper going everywhere by taxi but that’s not the point is it...?

Fish and chips used to be a cheap meal!

Fish and chips: £7.40.
Drive 10 miles to the chip shop, then 10 miles back ar 84p per mile: £16.80.

Cost of cheap meal for one: £24.20.
Phew!

In the SL that same meal and journey would have been £50.40
And I’d have been dead anyway probably as I have a seafood and fish allergy (not to mention dying of poverty!!):p

Assuming 'The Bus' is worth nothing then since purchase its averaged out at £0.21 per mile (not including insurance or MOT).

Makes the fish and chips still nice and cheap!

I'm happy with that ;)

I like - but I would have chosen the Macchiato leather. Brilliant tow car - yes, please.
