The time has come to look at tyres for my S213, first time I have had to replace the tyres on this car.

Currently they have Pirelli's P7's on front and Michelin Primacy £'s on the back. Thinking about going for the Michelin Pilot Sport 5's all round. Any suggestions for decent tyres for this car?

just put your tyre size into the many online sites and see what fits your requirements, noise, wet grip and price.
Avoid cheap.

I had Dunlops on my W213 and was very impressed with them.
I don’t know if Goodyear Efficientgrip are available in the size you need, but they are excellent

Exactly , 3rd place tyres don't even get a mention in my world .

I watch the tyre reviews videos and look at the reviews .

The last purchase was Asy 5 ,

rears when required will probably be the 6 .

Why didn't I buy the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 ?

Lower price and more rim protector on the Goodyear

Dunlop SportMaxx RT 2 is a 6 year old design , no point in it and the RT 3 is long overdue.

Thanks mate. It's not really about what tyres I can get for my car of course there is many sites which will show me what is available. What I'm after is mainly reccomendations for specific tyres people have had that they found to be good. Pirelli for example have a rating of B for wet weather however, I have found they are borderline dangerous in the wet. Something I will avoid on any car.

The Goodyear Assy 5 is probably the best value, I run them and can't fault them although they don't feel as stable in the wet (torrential wet) as the Uniroyal RS5 I had before.

Depends what sizes you have, have a look here https://www.camskill.co.uk/ to give you ideas on prices

Just got to see the long term wear of the usual non OE fast wear with the Conti's .

I don’t mind Pirelli’s in the dry but when I was testing loads for many years being in the trade and doing 1,000 miles a week myself back to back testing was easy.

Pirelli’s pzeros we’re ok in the dry but lack the outright winning edges of the Goodyear Eagle and Michelin’s Pilot sport. In the wet I found them to be shockingly shite. Michelins performance degraded by around 2.5mm and dropped fitter by 2mm and they older ones didn’t like heat cycles. The Goddyear Eagles have always been consistent stable top performance. Michelin did well with the PS4 as this now performed throughout the life of tyre, fast (not twitchy) turn in and basically raised the bar deservedly. The Eagle Asym 5 had to raise its game too to match the PS4 and it did making them as good as each other but, with distinct tangible characteristics which will offer drivers 2 epic choices based on their car and driving style. The Asym5 was a touch more efficient and noticeably quieter.

I’ve not tried the PS5 or Asym6 yet so cant comment but either should be epic.

I personally don’t have an issue with tyre wear on the above and was easily getting around 24,000 miles out of the ones on the front on my Volvo T5 avoiding starts that would spin the wheels but also enjoying the car with spirited road use and seeing regular vmax speeds.

The Michelin Primacy and Goodyear efficient grip are also worth a look if you want strong performance but additional durability.

Different tyre sizes behave differently on different cars (size).
My W220 was horrid on Pzero - noisy and hard, Best was Dunlop sport maxx.
My W251 came with Conti sports 2. Hard with poor traction. Pirelli p zero XL on it are absolute mint. Its so quiet now and and feeling road unevenness is much reduced to almost eliminated. Lets see how it changes as they wear.

Whatever you do - stick to premium.
Tyres keep you on the road.

Had Goodyear Efficient Grip on my S211 until recntly, now on Crossclimate 2's. Have to say I thought the Goodtears were good but the CC2's are even better. Obvioulsy depends on tyre sizes etc.
