E Class W211 Wing Mirror Indicator Glass Replacement

Hi,

Can somebody post me a link to a guide on how to change the glass indicator in my drivers wing mirror as mine is smashed :(.

It's an E class W211 by the way ;)

Just fold the mirror, and on the end you will see a square hule on the outer edge center. depress the catch in the hole by pressing with a suitable object, and the cover slides off

You remove the glass by pressing in at bottom, unhook spring along top and lift glass out

Hi,

Folded the mirror (it's elecrtric btw) and there's no hole :shock:

Any ideas or photos?

Paper sent :) go back to your post and by using "edit" you can remove the address,, you only have an hour to do this.

Left my camera at home :(. My mirror swivels on the mount and has a sealed end with no holes. My E class is a 2008 model. Any ideas?

No, the end is body coloured and is part of the actual mirror. The whole mirror swivels in rather than folding.

Remove the glass, then round the inside of the frame there a few torx 20s, remove these and then wiggle the case of, looks a real crap job!

Then to me this looks as thought the glass has to be removed and it has a screwed together case, like we had on the 129 etc

I assume the process for removing the lense is still the same? Press the bottom of the mirror and unclip the top?
