My 2004 S211 E320cdi has been flashing up E Service due and the number of days keeps changing or not showing at start up, is this normal? I have seen 5, 9, 23 and 30 days so far, does anyone know what the ECU uses as a data reference? Cheers.

Yes its normal. It has a calendar clock in the cluster which counts days since its last reset. It also has a mileage counter which it will use if you are high mileage user.

Thanks. Nothing displayed over the weekend or Monday morning, by that evening it came up 25 days. Next morning 22 days that changed to 24 days sat in the car park at work!
