Hi, I have a e200 where the tensioner pulley sheared off. I replaced the pulley and tensioner arm and drivebelt all with genuine Mercedes parts. It has been fine for about a month but has now started to wobble. Have I not tightened the nut up to the correct torque or something? I asked Mercedes when I purchased the parts what torque it should be tightened to but got a shrug back. Any help much appreceated. I've included a picture with a red arrow taken from above engine bay. Good 5-10mm deviation with engine running.

Is there a damper fitted to your tensioner? if so it might be jiggered.

I took the whole lot apart and found out I'd fitted the new damper/piston the wrong way round. The bolt had pulled apart from the bottom of the assembly and the auto. tensioner had no support. Thank you for all the replies. I'll be more careful next time.
