Hi, I am running a 1997 E200 estate. The car has covered over 205,000 miles and is still going strong! Lately the exhaust has started to rattle. I believe the rattle is coming from the catalyst section downstream from the 2-1 confluence. There is a hanging bracket on the engine and a bolt goes through this bracket into a threaded? collar in the exhaust pipe itself. The bolt has badly corroded and is now undersized for the hole in the bracket - hence the rattle

Does anyone know if this is a bolt that can be unscrewed (maybe a welded pin for all I know) and how this mounting is originally put together. Any advice appreciated.
P.S. I'm not talking about the 2nd bracket on the catalyst section (which is plate steel and has anti vibe mounts).
