Hi

I have to lift the handbrake foot pedal first thing in the morning on my e220 to get it to release. After the cars warmed up it’s always ok though? Any suggestions please?

Clean and lube the mechanism under the dash.
I always took the pressure off the release pin by pressing the brake down slightly, then letting the pedal come back up against my foot so it didn’t do a hard and noisy release.

Cheers. I’ll give that a go. Is it easy to get to?

It depends upon how flexible you are, it’s up under the dash
