Hi
I have a 2016 E220 cabriolet and I am having this issue with the car. Whenever I am in reverse and on full lock I have the most disconcerting loud noise coming from my front wheels. Mercedes is telling me that it is the tyres that are slipping, it's not dangerous and I could try and correct this with winter tyres!
I had a CLK before that I loved and was really investing in the quality and comfort I expect from such a top brand as Mercedes. I am amazed that after the small fortune I spent on purchasing this car I am being asked to do this.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? I am about to take the car back to Mercedes for the 3rd time but I am now beginning to think the the motoring ombudsmen or watchdog is the way forward. I am also having other issues like internal compartment with 12v plug, lid coming off, seat belts having a mind of their own and malfuntioning on and off, which indicates a general overall poor quality of the vehicle. Any advice would be welcomed! Thank you.
