Hi all, first post so hello to all forum members :)

i have a 2012 E220 CDI Cabriolet BlueEfficiency, well its the misses car.

So i have noticed a leak coming from a couple of different spots underneath the car but the leak only seems to happen after its been driven.

Yesterdays leak noticed it after misses had been out and came back but parked car facing up hill.

Leak was coming from rear passenger side cill not far from rear wheel. leaked for a while then stopped.

I did taste the leak, yuk............

It wasnt brake fluid just a watery taste

Could it be air con leak?

Any ideas.............thanks :)

On these cars there’s a dodgy design fault where the brake lines actually sit in a pool of water on the under tray hence why they corrode quickly.
Have you checked all the fluids?
When it’s been raining then a drive after a couple of day the water can still be dripping iv often thought of a leak somewhere.
If the brake lines are ok I can’t think what else is fluid underneath the passenger rear.
Water pump and fuel filter housing are very common to leak in these cars but there obviously in the engine bay

it was raining hard so could be just water.

had rear brake lines changed recently as master cylinder failed and when they we bleeding system brake fluid leaked out the lines so they are brand new.

so possibly just sitting water leaking.

its also done similar leak underneath drivers seat cill

i will check the fluids but apparently brake fluid doesnt taste very nice..........lol

this just tasted like water tbh

Mostly likely sitting water especially if it’s both sides
