Dear Fellow Enthusiasts,

I was wondering if someone could help me decipher a very strange phenomenon please...!

I am a proud owner of a C180 W203 (Almost Classic - I know). I somehow managed to convince a very good old friend to ditch his standard (Ford - Mondeo) for prestige - hence the E220 CDI (03)

Anyway, I got a call yesterday to say, his clock has reset after a battery change, but for some strange reason, he can't seem to find the settings to reset his clock. I was somewhat baffled and went to check it out. Based on my little knowledge I thought, ha..., I got this...! Wrong.

Enter the instrument cluster, navigated everywhere and strangely, there are no settings for the clock.

What the hell has happened? do we need to put some change somewhere to bring it up? Got a few coppers...

ANY HELP WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED...:-(

THANK YOU ALL:eek:

Do you have COMAND in you car? Clock is set via it... or then your car have had one, and it is replaced with cheaper audio system but coding not done for cluster so car there is no settings for that...

+1. If COMAND fitted check Service/Settings/Time. You'll need to set the time zone, which defaults to Germany.

Thank you for your response. If you would, please point me to where I can find "command"

Is that the same as the settings control on the steering wheel?

Thank you once again

Comand is the navigation system that was an extra when you car was new, you may not have one.

Sadly I think you may be right.

I haven't got navigation system which means, it's probably been taken out/replaced.

So with this in mind, how can I change this? Is it possible?

Thanks in advance:(

just checked mine and scroll to the settings menu and its the second option down after cluster, i'd be wondering if the car has had the cluster replaced at some point and it needs putting on star to see if it can just be recoded?
