Hi folks,

Just bought a 2007 E220 CDI Executive – dead chuffed.

Yesterday the fuel got low & the warning light came on, along with the mileage gauge.

I was surprised to see (if I’m reading this right) that there is only enough fuel for 14 miles once the light comes on,,,,,, but hold on a minute,,,, as I was going home, I noticed that far from decreasing, that figure increased, from 14 to 18.2 miles. Obviously I am reading this wrong.

1/ How much fuel is usually left in this model when the light comes on ?

2/ What is the figure that I am looking at, at the bottom of the screen – in miles ? (just above this is a figure in km. I ‘think’ this is to do with speed, as when I pulled up at home, this figure was ‘0’.)

3/ Also just bought a Viseeo MB-2 Bluetooth gadget. It has Multi phone pairing. A great idea for me, as I usually have two phones running. I’m not too bothered about making calls on both phones,,,, but I had assumed that I could at least receive calls on either phone. A parrotly, even tho’ these are sold as Multi-phone use, you can only use one phone at a time.

Am still a bit miffed that the car didn’t come with the Bluetooth gadget – my Mercedes dealer wouldn’t even help towards one,,,,,

4/ Any peculiar characteristics with this model that I ought to be aware of ?

Thanks for reading,,,,,

With most MBs you have in the region of 2gallons left when the lamp comes on, so thats some 9 liters from the full 80 liters.

Are you going to come to our meet in Cornwall just to say hello

Thanks for that.

My previous models (123 & 124) had - as you say - about 2 gallons left.
Any idea what the figure is that i'm looking at - at the bottom of the screen/multi gauge ?

Jamaica Inn eh,,,,,, not been in there since drinking with the oz fastnet team many, many years ago. Of course, we don't pass it now the motorways & by-passes are spreading.

What is it,,, a general 'meet the mercedes owners' bit or is there more ?

Yep, i'll try to make it - thanks.

It is in the owners manual how much is left, once the light is on you if you keep driving you get a picture of a CLS attached to a fuel pump. I've put 79 ltrs without running out, although I think yours will have a 60/65 ltr tank rather than an 80.
