We've had a few of those reported now, hence the question- that's one hell of a price. Have you found yourself a Mercedes Independent yet?
Nope. I’m in Leicester and seems to be only the main dealer around here. They did say I can buy a second hand tank and they will fit it. Though I’m sceptical of it having the same issue

The bit that you screw the oil filler cap onto is if you like an upside down saucepan, Look for any hose connected to this saucepan. That hose is part of the so called 'breather' system. You can follow that hose to see the next item in the breather system. Please put up some pictures.
Is it this

Pending faults are in the current drive cycle. Go for three seperate drives in one day. If they occur each time then they will be stored and it needs seeing too.

Need Xentry for those codes, current means it's occurred once during current engine running session. Look for a wiring issue around those sensors, but my opinion is the code definition is wrong, as the car wouldn't run with a rail pressure sensor shorted to ground.

all codes are wrong or just the fuel rail one? Any idea where the sensors are? Could this still be related to adblue? Perhaps I got another dud unit from eBay

First two codes

Adblue one is stored but not current, and you would usually get something like that in the engine ecu when the tank sensor fails.

Rail pressure sensor is at the end of the rail. As I say though, take those with a pinch of salt....

Would the stored one still cause a check engine light? Or is that the two current ones only

The stored one will erase once you erase the codes, so you can ignore it

It’s worth noting, in the engine bay after I got it serviced. There is the air filter and underneath that there is supposed to be two bent rubber hoses. I assume air intake outtake. One has vanished so don’t know if that is causing any issues
