- Your Mercedes
- 1998 E320 7-seater, 1958 Norton Dominator, Honda CG125 (because my XRV750 was pinched)
I'm about to buy my first Mercedes - an E240 with seven seats to ferry around the soon-to-be 3 kids.
The one I'm looking at tomorrow is advertised as a E240 Classic auto tiptronic. It's a 98 model on an R plate, but my Parker's guide seems to say that this model was introduced a year later. I know the tip version goes for more money so might it just be a case of wishful thinking on the part of the dealer. I know it sounds dumb, but in the absence of the original handbook, how can I tell if it's the tip version or not? Any help greatly appreciated, as according to Parker's there's a £500 price difference.
This dealer wants £2995 (clean car, FSH, cloth) which seems a little rich even if it's got the tiptronic box.
