E240 w210 noise on back brakes

For the last week ,i have had a noise around back of car .diff+ driveshafts o.k now moved onto brakes. new pads + discs 6 weeks old could it be handbrake shoes,help please.

Drive it with the handbrake partialy on or apply it whilst moving (just enough to cause a bit of drag), if the noise changes its got something to do with the handbrake, it maybe as simple as the adjustment of cables or shoes being incorrect but it could be a spring inside the drum being faulty or detached.

What kind of noise? Grating, squealing, knocking...

its starting to make a grating noise but not when in reverse
