E250 W212 722.9 7 SPEED Auto

I have had my E250 for a year now and its just started giving me problems with the auto gearbox.
Its slow changing up gears and drops to first too quick when coming to a halt
I am having a gearbox service next week and hope this will cure the problem
Its only done 48k and maybe a software upgrade as well may improve the gear changing
I do regularly reset the gearbox but it no longer has any effect on the sluggish performance
I also installed a performance box to improve performance and mpg and was fine at first but now have removed it for process of illumination
Any body had similar issues?

Its Nov 2013 and don't think its had an ATF refresh, I haven't had it done so probably not

7+ gearbox fluid change @75k miles or 5 years whichever comes first
